The Story behind Utrujjah Press

Utrujjah Press brings the most authentic books for you and your children so you can have peace of mind when learning your religion. The books follow the Qur’aan and Sunnah and include explanations by the most senior scholar of Islaam today, the Mufti of Saudi Arabia, Shaykh Saalih al-Fawzaan al-Fawzaan حفظه الله among others. Utrujjah Press is the culmination of translations and compilations developed over thirty years; and we’re blessed to see 36 titles published to date with more on the way inshaa Allaah.

 Teacher training instilled a love and passion for making resources and helping children and adults understand concepts in easy ways. I started off by sharing my resources on blogs and then turned to publishing to preserve and spread the information in book form.

 2025 saw a new set of reading books published for kids (Badr and Basma). Something that I wanted to do decades ago after seeing the dire need for Muslim friendly kids’ books that did not have a long list of things to censure or explain (such as disbelief, magic, illicit relationships, prohibited actions, etc.).
